'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' teaser pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman
The “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” official teaser is here!
In the two-minute video released Sunday, scenes that were full of emotions played while “No Woman No Cry” plays in the background.
Towards the end, a mural of the late Chadwick Boseman as the Marvel hero was shown while Ramonda (Angela Bassett) expressed feelings of pain amid and after challenges.
“I am Queen of Wakanda, the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone. Have I not given everything?” she said.
As of writing, “Wakanda Forever” and Chadwick are among the top trending topics on Philippine Twitter.
The video has also been showered with comments of Marvel fans remembering Chadwick for the hero he was before passing away after a four-year fight with cancer.
“My heart beating is in crescendo. It’s a Chadwick Boseman tribute entirely. Loved the music, montage. The sense of emotions over the edge is so overwhelming,” one wrote.
“Chadwick Boseman is the reason we’re where we are with this sequel! You rest in peace, my friend. You are and always will be our Black Panther. Wakanda forever! This trailer looks epic,” said another.
In a previous interview, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said the film is going to [be made] in a way that would make Chad proud.”
Directed by Ryan Coogler, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will premiere on November 11.
