Vanessa Hudgens revisits High School Musical's iconic location 'East High School'
It's been 16 years since the first installment of "High School Musical" was released, and Vanessa Hudgens is feeling nostalgic.
On Instagram Monday, the Fil-Am actress who played Gabriella Montez in the movie took a trip down memory lane and returned to East High School.
In the video, Vanessa was seen walking around the school grounds to the tune of High School Musical's "Breaking Free," which she sang with Troy, portrayed by Zac Efron, in the Disney Channel Original movie.
"Do you remember in kindergarten how you'd meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you're playing like you're best friends because you didn't have to be anything but yourself?" Vanessa wrote as a quote to her character in the movie.
More than a decade after the original "High School Musical" films, "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," featuring Fil-Am pop singer Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, among others, took over 'East High School' as the new batch of Wildcats.
For the younger generation, Vanessa played Gabriella Montez in the original High School Musical. Gabriella was the new girl, who fell for "East High School" basketball team captain Troy Bolton, famously played by Zac Efron.
Other cast members included Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay Evans and Lucas Grabeel as Ryan Evans.
