Hwang In Youp reveals his love for kwek-kwek

We have heard of international stars falling in love with the good ol' Philippine adobo, but it's the kwek-kwek which captured Hwang In Youp's heart (and taste buds).

The Korean star revealed this during the press conference held on Sunday at the EDSA Shangri-La Manila.

After sharing that he loves pineapples and dried mangoes from the country, he turned to host Sam Oh, asking in Korean: "It's kwek-kwek, right? I miss that. I used to eat that in the street."

In Youp said he also misses mango float, which his tutor used to make for him him when he lived in Davao.

In Youp stayed in the Philippines for about four years to study. The actor said while he also loves Manila, Davao holds a special place in his heart.

The "Why Her" and "The Sound of Magic" actor said he would also love to visit Boracay and Cebu soon.

In Youp arrived in the Philippines on Saturday in preparation for his fan meet titled "BYS Fun Meet" happening on Sunday night at the New Frontier Theater.

Translating In Youp's words, Sam said: "He was so surprised to see his fans who were there waiting for him. He's very excited to be back and do things and see his fans here."

"He's waiting for the day that his Filipino fans and friends can come over to Korea. They can also spend time over there. He's hoping that those days will come soon," she added.

In Youp rose to fame with his role as Han Seo Joon in "True Beauty," which also stars Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young. He made his acting debut with the web drama "W.H.Y."
