Le Sserafim to continue as 5-member group as Kim Garam halts activities
HYBE’s new girl group Le Sserafim will continue as a five-piece as member Kim Garam stops her activities for the meantime.
According to HYBE and Source Music, Kim Garam has “decided to stop her activities for a while and focus on healing her broken heart.” The agencies said until her return, the group would proceed as a five-member group.
Le Sserafim debuted on May 2 under Source Music, a HYBE label. Its members are Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, Kim Garam, and Hong Eunchae.
Kim Garam had been facing allegations of bullying and violence from her school days. After sharing a detailed account of the events according to its investigation, Source apologized for the spread of “baseless false information” about the singer.

“We wanted to resolve the issue without disclosing the details of the facts to the public because a large number of minors are involved in the current controversial issue,” said its statement.
The agency also acknowledged and apologized “for Kim Garam’s wrong words and actions in the past,” adding “it was a quarrel that took place on behalf of a friend who had suffered damage.”
According to a Soompi report, Le Sserafim also cancelled its scheduled activities on Friday, which included an appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” and a video call fan signing event.
It said the group would schedule the fan signing event at a later time. – RC, GMA News
