Bridgerton Season 3 to focus on Colin and Penelope

The third season of period drama Bridgerton on Netflix will focus on the budding romance of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

The announcement was made by Lady Whistledown herself as published in her latest "society papers."

"It is only fair that this author's third year chronicling the marriage mart... Mayfair's social season should find a focus on a third son... and a third daughter," she announced.

Lady Whistledown is a fictional character, voiced on the show by Oscar awardee Julie Andrews, whose identity remains a mystery.

The Bridgerton producers opted to make the announcement through the writer of a society paper that the upcoming season will focus on the budding relationship of Colin Bridgerton played by Luke Newton and Penelope Featherington played by Nicola Coughlan.

"With Penelope's days as a wallflower wearing thin, will she finally take bloom? Time will tell. And, as always, so will this author," she added. -- BAP, GMA News
