Leslie ‘Les’ Priest departs from LANY to pursue ‘new chapter’ in his life
LANY's keyboardist Leslie "Les" Priest officially parted ways with the band after eight years of "friendship and opportunity."
In a social media statement released on Thursday, LANY announced that Les had decided to leave the band to "focus on life as a writer/producer in Nashville."
"We love him and his family with all of our hearts and are forever grateful to him for building LANY with us into what it is today. No one will ever be able to replace him so LANY will continue as just us," said LANY's Instagram update.
In a separate Instagram post, Les confirmed his split with the band.
"Being in LANY was a true gift. A gift with many ups and down, joys and heartaches. There is a time and place for everything. Now is the time for a new chapter," the keyboardist shared.
"I'm parting ways to invest more fully in the other areas of my life. Thank you to everyone who played a part in this experience," Les added.
Paul commented on Les' post to express his love for his former bandmate and friend. "Love u so much, thank u for everything," he said.
To commemorate Les' eight years with LANY, the band famous for songs "ILYSB" and "Malibu Nights" is re-releasing for the last time their "JAKE LES PAUL" T-shirt.
Moving forward, lead singer Paul Klein and drummer Jake Goss will continue making music for LANY. – Hermes Joy Tunac/RC, GMA News
