Wendy of Red Velvet tests positive for COVID-19

Red Velvet member Wendy has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a Soompi report, SM Entertainment said in a statement that the singer was diagnosed with the disease on Saturday.

The agency said Wendy, who was not exhibiting symptoms, immediately halted her activities and went into isolation in accordance with health authorities’ guidelines.

It also said she had received her third COVID-19 vaccine dose.

“With the artists’ health and safety as the top priorities, we will do our best in order for them to be able to focus on their treatment and recovery,” said SM Entertainment.

On Wednesday, another Red Velvet member, Seulgi, also tested positive for COVID-19.

Together with the rest of the members Irene, Joy, and Yeri, Red Velvet released last week their latest album “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm.” – RC, GMA News
