Jungkook of BTS diagnosed with COVID-19
BTS member Jungkook has contracted COVID-19.
In a Weverse statement, BigHit Music announced that the South Korean superstar tested positive for the disease shortly after his arrival in Los Angeles on Monday (PT).
His only experience is a mild sore throat and is currently in self-quarantine.
"Jungkook's participation in the later schedule in the United States will be determined by the local regulations on COVID-19, while we are actively in discussion with the awards organizer," the statement said.
BTS are set to perform at the Grammy Awards on April 3. The group is nominated for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for their hit single "Butter."
Member J-Hope also recently tested positive for COVID-19 and stayed back in Seoul as RM, Jin, Jimin, and V flew to Los Angeles.
Jungkook had departed ahead of the group for earlier preparations.
BTS is also scheduled to hold a concert in Las Vegas on April 8, 9, 15, and 16. —JCB, GMA News
