Miley Cyrus' plane to Paraguay makes emergency landing after being struck by lightning

Miley Cyrus' plane to Paraguay got caught in a major unexpected storm and was struck by lightning.

On Instagram, the American singer-songwriter shared a video showing a flash of lightning seen from one of the plane's windows.

Miley was on her way to Paraguay for the Asunciónico music festival.

"To my fans and everyone worried after hearing about my flight to Asunción," she wrote in the caption of her post.

"Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lightning," she added.

She reassured her fans that she and all of her companions in the plane are safe.

"My crew , band , friends and family who were all traveling with me are safe after an emergency landing," she wrote.

"We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU," she ended her note. —JAB, GMA News.
