Amanda Bynes' conservatorship is over after nearly 9 years
After nearly nine long years, former child star Amanda Bynes' conservatorship by her mother, Lynn Bynes, is finally terminated.
According to E! News, the termination came a month after Amanda filed the paperwork to end the conservatorship. Court documents showed she "has the capacity to give informed consent to any form of medical treatment" and "desires to live free of any constraint."
Amanda's request to terminate her conservatorship was signed by Ventura Country Superior Court Judge Roger Lund during a March 22 hearing at Oxnard Calfornia courthouse.
It ends her mother Lynn's duties of managing her daughter's professional and personal affairs.
Amanda was not present when the ruling was made.
Congratulatory messages and well wishes came pouring on Amanda's Instagram soon after the news of her conservatorship's termination recently broke the internet.
Amanda was first put in conservatorship in 2013 when she had some personal difficulties.
