Red Velvet postpones upcoming concert after 3 members test positive for COVID-19
Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, and Yeri have tested positive for COVID-19, resulting in the postponement of their upcoming special live event titled “2022 The ReVe Festival: Prologue.”
In a statement shared by Soompi, the group’s agency SM Entertainment said the three members got the results through two tests. Seulgi and Wendy, meanwhile, tested negative.
“Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, and Yeri recently received positive results from COVID-19 self-testing kits that they used preemptively, so they carried out PCR tests and were confirmed positive this past weekend.”
“They’re currently carrying out at-home treatment, and they are not exhibiting any particular symptoms. Seulgi and Wendy received negative results even with their additional tests,” it added.
SM Entertainment said Irene, Joy, and Yeri have completed the second dose of their COVID-19 vaccines. They will also be ensuring that the members will “be able to focus on their treatment and recovery.”
In line with this health update, the K-Pop girl group postponed their upcoming concert, which was set on March 19 and 20. All tickets will be fully refunded, and updates will be given soon.
Meanwhile, their mini album “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm” will be released as scheduled.
