'Squid Game' actors make historic win at 2022 SAG Awards
Mega congrats to "Squid Game!"
Apart from becoming such a blockbuster hit on Netflix, the Korean series is also reaping recognitions at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Lee Jung Jae and Jung Ho Yeon both won the Outstanding Performance by an actor in a drama series for both the male and female divisions. According to a Soompi report, not only are they the first Korean actors to win the awards in the drama category, they are also the first Asian actors to do so.
Making the win sweeter is the fact that Jung Jae went up against Brian Cox, Kieran Caulkin, and Jeremy Strong of hit HBO series "Succession" to name a few of the big hot shots name he faced.

Jung Ho Yeon meanwhile won against Sarah Snook, also of Succession, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon of "The Morning Show" and Elisabeth Moss of "The Handmaid's Tale."

"Squid Game" also took home the trophy for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series, winning against the likes of “Cobra Kai,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “Loki,” and “Mare of Easttown.”
