Jake Gyllenhaal addresses reactions to Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’

Jake Gyllenhaal has finally spoken up on fans’ reactions linking him to Taylor Swift’s 2012 song “All Too Well.”

In November, the American actor became the subject of internet jokes and memes after the singer released a 10-minute version of the song on her re-recorded “Red” album.

Neither of the two had confirmed they had dated, but fans had long been speculating that the heartbreak anthem was about Jake.

“It has nothing to do with me. It’s about her relationship with her fans,” Jake said in an Esquire interview.

“It is her expression. Artists tap into personal experiences for inspiration, and I don’t begrudge anyone that.”

Asked about why he turned off comments on his Instagram, he said:

“At some point, I think it’s important when supporters get unruly that we feel a responsibility to have them be civil and not allow for cyberbullying in one’s name.”

Jake also said he had not listened to Taylor’s album. – RC, GMA News
