Jimin of BTS recovers from COVID-19, gets discharged from hospital

BTS member Jimin has recovered from COVID-19 and has been discharged from the hospital following his surgery.

In a statement on WeVerse on Saturday, BigHit Music said that Jimin's quarantine period ended with "no extraordinary symptoms." He only had a mild sore throat at the time of his admission at the hospital but has since completely recovered.

Meanwhile, he is also healing "without any issues" from his surgery for acute appendicitis.

"We would like to express our gratitude to all the fans who have shown concerns for the artist's health as well as those in the medical field who are doing their best to overcome COVID-19," BigHit said.

Jimin suffered from a sudden abdominal pain and a mild sore throat last Sunday, and underwent surgery for acute appendicitis the following day. He also tested positive for COVID-19.

He earlier assured fans that he was making a "speedy recovery." —JCB, GMA News
