Song Jia to be edited out of Korean variety show following fake designer controversy
"Single's Inferno" breakout star Song Jia will be edited out of broadcasting company MBC's variety show "The Manager" following her fake designer controversy.
"After mutual discussion with the guest, we have decided not to air Song Jia’s footage. The January 29 broadcast will proceed normally with other cast members," the statement said.
"We will do our best to show a better side of 'The Manager' to viewers who support and love the program," it added.
After starring in the hit Netflix reality dating series "Single's Inferno," content creator and influencer Jia, also known as Freezia, drew flak online when netizens started to question the authenticity of the designer goods she was often seen wearing on the show and on her social media posts.
After much speculation, Jia, who rose to fame on social media for her beauty and fashion content, took to Instagram to address the issue where she admitted and apologized for wearing fake designer items.
She also promised her followers that all her content with exposed fakes had already been deleted. —Kaela Malig/JCB, GMA News
