Singer Omarion makes it clear he's a musician, 'not a viral variant'
Looks like Omarion has had enough of the confusion!
The American singer-songwriter just posted a tongue-in-cheek response to people confusing his name with the COVID-19 variant Omicron.
In an Instagram video, Omarion said, "Now I know that there has been a lot of confusion recently on the internet, so my lawyers asked me to read this."
"I, Omarion, am a musician and entertainer, not a viral variant, okay?" he said.
In his caption, Omarion said he's been getting a lot of "disrespectful" messages from "folks [he] did nothing to."
Regardless of that, Omarion still ended his video on a good note.
"No, but seriously, I want to wish you all a happy and safe New Year," he said.
Omarion is the lead singer of R&B band B2K.
Among his most popular songs include "Post to Be," "Ice Box" and "Distance." —JCB, GMA News
