BTS member SUGA has tested positive for COVID-19.
Big Hit Music made the announcement in Weverse, saying that the rapper took the PCR test immediately upon his return to Korea from the United States on Thursday.
His test results came back positive on Friday, despite SUGA having completed his vaccination in late August.
According to the statement, SUGA is not displaying any symptoms.
He is currently in self-quarantine and has not made any contact with the other BTS members.
"The company places he artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid SUGA in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the healthcare authorities," Big Hit said.
SUGA stayed in the US for his break following BTS's activities there.
