Gong Yoo explores the dark side of the moon in new Netflix series 'The Silent Sea'
There's more to the moon than we've ever come to know.
On Friday, Netflix released its official teaser for its much-anticipated thriller series "The Silent Sea" starring none other than big-time actor Gong Yoo.
Gong Yoo plays the role of a leader of an elite team whose members are tasked to explore an abandoned research base on the moon in the year 2075, when resources on Earth have been depleted.
Things don't go according to plan from the get-go of their mission. They make a crash landing on the moon. The team, traversing through the surface of the moon engulfed in endless silence, then reaches the Balhae Lunar Research Station, only to be faced with more unanswered questions as they try to figure out what really happened to the people there.
"There's less than 10% possibility our whole crew will survive," one of the members said.
"The Silent Sea," helmed by director Choi Hang Yong and written by Park Eun Kyo, also features Bae Doona, Lee Joon, Kim Sun Young, Lee Mu Saeng and Lee Sung Wook.
It is set to premiere on Netflix this December 24. — LA, GMA News
