‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ actor Lee Sang Yi confirmed to star in new Netflix series


"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" Lee Sang Yi is confirmed to star in a new Netflix action series!

According to a Soompi report on Friday, the actor, who played the second male lead TV director Ji Sung Hyun in the hit series, will star in the action drama titled "Hunting Dogs."

He will be starring alongside Woo Do Hwan, Kim Sae Ron and Hee Joon Ho.

"Hunting Dogs," based on a webtoon of the same name, revolves around three individuals whose lives intertwine as they try to get out of their own debts.

Sang Yi will portray Woo Jin, a boxer who has experience with daily installments and helps out Gun Woo, who will be played by "The King: Eternal Monarch" actor Woo Da Hwan.

Gun Woo, who was a promising boxer, enters the world of loan sharks to pay off his debts and later becomes Mr. Choi's bodyguard.

Meanwhile, veteran actor Heo Joon Ho, known for his roles on "Kingdom" and "A Beautiful Mind," will portray Mr. Choi, a man who was once a legend in the loan business who later lends money to sick people without interest.

"The Villagers" actress Kim Sae Ron, on the other hand, will portray Hyun Joo who is like Mr. Choi's family.

"Hunting Dogs," to be co-produced by Studio N, Seed Films, and Seven O Six, will be written and directed by "Midnight Runners" director Kim Joo Hwan.
