BTS submits ‘Butter’ for a chance at another Grammy nomination

BTS submitted their song “Butter” for a chance to be considered a nomination at the 2022 Grammys.

According to a Billboard report, the track was submitted under the best group performance category.

If the global sensations get a thumbs up, this will be their second Grammy nomination after having a chance at the award last year with their single “Dynamite,” which lost to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain on Me." 

BTS' "Butter" will go up against 24kGolden and Iann Dior’s “Mood,” Doja Cat and SZA’s “Kiss Me More,” Kid LAROI and Miley Cyrus’ “Without You,” and Lizzo and Cardi B’s Rumors.”

The first round of voting is ongoing until November 5. The announcement of Grammy nominations will be on November 23.

“Butter,” released in May, has made an impressive feat in the music charts. Among its many achievements was staying at the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks in a row. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
