Kim Seon Ho removed from 2 upcoming films amid controversy

And withdrawals for Kim Seon Ho keep coming.

On Wednesday, Soompi reported that the South Korean actor will no longer appear in the two films he was scheduled to act in, namely romantic comedy film "2 O'Clock Date" with Girls' Generation's Yoona and omnibus film "Dog Days" with Yoon Yeo Jung.

According to the report, a source from "2 O'Clock Date" production company Filmmaker R&K said, “We have decided to replace the male lead of ‘2 O’Clock Date.'”

“Dog Days” production company JK Film also said, “It’s a bit burdensome to keep going [with Kim Seon Ho] because it’s the role of a romantic couple. We have spoken with the agency, decided to replace him, and are taking the necessary steps.”

Seon Ho was also in talks to make his big screen debut through "Sad Tropics," scheduled to begin filming in mid-November, but a source said they are still discussing the matter and nothing has been decided so far regarding the actor.

His removal from his scheduled films came the same day Seon Ho released an apology statement through his agency Salt Entertainment for his ex-girlfriend and all those who supported him.

In the apology, Seon Ho said that he was "seeing her with good emotions. In that process, I hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions."

Seon Ho also apologized to people who trusted and supported him, for disappointing them, as well as to his co-stars and staff for causing trouble.

On the same day his hit drama series "Hometown Cha Cha Cha" aired its last episode, news broke about an anonymous woman, aliased "A," uploading a post in an online community, where she said actor "K" forced her to have an abortion on the false promise of marriage.

Although the post did not mention any names, many speculated that the actor under fire was Kim Seon Ho.

On October 19, Seon Ho's agency issued a statement neither denying nor confirming the accusations and simply stated that they are checking the facts in question.

Aside from losing two shows, Seon Ho, who rose to fame with his role in 2020 hit show "Start-Up," will also be leaving the KBS variety entertainment program “2 Days & 1 Night” Season 4.

It was also reported that several brands endorsed by the actor had removed him from their official channels. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
