Liam Payne pokes fun at Zayn Malik’s exit from One Direction after 6 years

Six years after Zayn Malik left One Direction, Liam Payne shared what could possibly be his hilarious reaction when he first heard the news.

On Monday, the English singer and songwriter surprised Directioners with a video of himself looking confused and bothered as he mouthed an audio clip.

“Are we absolutely sure what direction we’re going?” he said while looking around.

On the caption he wrote, “[Point of view:] The meeting after Zayn quit,” adding, “I forgot I had this in drafts.”

Liam said he hoped viewers would “see the funny side” of what happened to them back in 2015.

As of writing, the video has reached over 13.6 million views, 3.9 million likes, and 228,100 shares.

Composed of Zayn, Liam, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, One Direction was formed in 2010 after they were grouped together on “The X-Factor.”

After Zayn’s departure, remaining members continued as a quartet and released their latest album, “Made in the A.M.,” in 2014.
