Lovi Poe to join Alex Pettyfer, Poppy Delevingne in Hollywood biopic
Lovi Poe is set to star in "The Chelsea Cowboy," an upcoming biopic based on the life of actor, gangster and lothario John Bindon.
According to Deadline, the Filipino actress and singer will be playing British blues singer Dana Gillespie, who employed Bindon as security and also provided him with access to the high life.
Lovi is set to join Hollywood stars Alex Pettyfer ("Magic Mike," "I am Number Four") and Poppy Delevingne ("Riviera," "Kingsman: The Golden Circle").
The film is helmed by director Ben Cookson and Idris Elba, who starred in the blockbusters like "Suicide Squad" and "Thor," is on board as one of the executive producers.
Lovi happily shared the news on Instagram, saying she was "excited to be working with this amazing team of creatives."
"The Chelsea Cowboy" is set to begin shooting in late September 2021.
Lovi is an award-winning actress, model and recording artist who has captivated millions of viewers with films like "Sana Dati," "The Escort" and "Hindi Tayo Pwede," as well as several hit GMA dramas including "Owe My Love," "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real."
