‘Sing 2’ shows characters with big dreams voiced by Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Bono

Fans of the star-studded animated film “Sing” are in for a treat!

On Thursday, the official trailer for “Sing 2” was finally released, showing Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey’s characters continuing their journey toward bigger dreams.

Buster Moon, voiced by McConaughey, and his crew hope to debut a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater. To get the attention of a ruthless mogul wolf who runs Crystal Entertainment, Buster pitches that their new show will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway, who is voiced by Bono.

However, Buster has never met Clay, a musician who has isolated himself from the world for 15 years after the death of his wife. The crew then embarks on a journey to convince Clay to come out and embrace music once again.

Meanwhile, Witherspoon’s character, mother pig Rosita, tries to overcome a great fear in one of her perfomances and step up into the limelight.

Aside from McConaughey and Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Tori Kelly, Bobby Cannavale, Pharrell Williams, Halsey and Letitia Wright have also lent their voices to the much anticipated animated sequel.

“Sing 2,” written and directed by Garth Jennings, showcases several classic rock and pop hit songs.
