Comedian John Mulaney and wife Anna Marie Tendler are reportedly splitting up
Comedian John Mulaney and his artist wife Anna Marie Tendler are reportedly calling it quits, after six years of marriage.
According to Page Six, both parties have shared statements confirming they are currently in the process of filing for divorce.
A statement from Tendler said she was “heartbroken” by her husband’s decision to end their marriage.
“I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage," Tendler’s spokeperson was quoted as saying. "I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery."
A spokesperson for Mulaney, on the other hand, said: “John will not have any further comment as he continues to focus on his recovery and getting back to work.”
News of the divorce comes shortly after Mulaney entered a rehabilitation program for cocaine and alcohol problems.
The comedian, actor and host is known for his hit stand-up comedy shows and appearances on “Saturday Night Live,” for which he worked as a writer for several years. Meanwhile, Anna Marie is an artist who works across several mediums.
