Chai Fonacier praises ‘Nocebo’ co-star Eva Green: ‘She’s among the best, kindest people I’ve worked with’
Filipina actress Chai Fonacier expressed her admiration and awe for Eva Green, her co-star in the upcoming thriller “Nocebo.”
In a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, Chai shared a black-and-white photo of herself with the French actress as they smiled happily at the camera.
The Cebuana actress, who won best supporting actress for the 2016 film “Patay na si Hesus,” said she could say many good things about Eva but it would “shatter part of the wonderful sense of mystery she holds over all of us.”
“So I’ll leave it that, while being utterly, utterly truthful about it: she is among the best, kindest, most talented people I have ever worked with,” Chai wrote.
She thanked the Golden Globe nominee for her “presence, intensity, passion, art, and beauty.”
“Grateful to be a witness to this awesomeness. Won’t ever forget you, and I hope to see you again. Love you!” Chai added.
In April, Eva also took to social media to praise Chai, who she described as a “truly great actress with extraordinary depth and sensitivity” and an “incredible partner.”
In “Nocebo,” Chai is set to play a Filipino caregiver who uses traditional folk healing to help Eva’s character know more about her mysterious illness.
The new film, which is set to be produced both in the Philippines and in Ireland, is directed by “Vivarium” director Lorcan Finnegan, written by Garret Shanley, and produced by Emily Leo, Brunella Cocchiglia, and Filipino producers Bianca Balbuena an Bradley Liew.
