‘Lucifer’ actor Tom Ellis to star in rom-com with Gina Rodriguez and Damon Wayans Jr.
“Lucifer” actor Tom Ellis is set to star in a romantic comedy film with “Jane the Virgin” lead Gina Rodriguez and “Happy Endings” star Damon Wayans Jr.!
According to a Deadline report on Thursday, the actors have already signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix film “Players.”
The film follows Chicago sportswriter Mack (Gina) who has spent years devising “hook-up plays” with her bestfriend Adam (Damon). Things go south when Mack herself falls in love with one of her victims (Tom).
Gina, Molly Breeskin, Rose Girard, and Dan Clarke will serve as the film’s executive producers.
Directed by “The Sleepover” and “Pitch Perfect 3” director Trish Sie, the film is also set to be penned by Whit Anderson who wrote for shows such as “Ozark” and “Daredevil.”
