Taylor Swift, BTS among 22 artists set to perform at 2021 Grammy Awards
The 63rd annual Grammy Awards are happening March 14, and the show is expected to feature performances from Taylor Swift, BTS and 20 other artists.
According to Billboard.com, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Harry Styles, Billie Eillish, Cardi B, Roddy Rich, Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Ricch, DaBaby and Post Malone are also in the lineup.
Eleven out of the 22 performers this year are female solo artists, while Haim is an all-female group.
All “record of the year” nominees are expected to perform except for Beyoncé, who is this year’s top nominee with nine nods.
Meanwhile, it will be Swift’s seventh performance at the Grammy’s -- not to mention her first in five years. The singer-songwriter may also win “album of the year” for the third time around with "Folklore."
BTS, on the other hand, will be setting the night alight as the only Asian act to perform at the Grammys. The worldwide K-pop sensation was nominated for their mega-hit single “Dynamite”.
Hosted by “The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah, the event is set to be held mainly at the Los Angeles Convention Center but will use “multiple venues” to allow social distancing. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
