Elliot Page and wife Emma Portner are reportedly getting a divorce

Elliot Page and his wife Emma Portner are reportedly splitting up after three years of marriage.

According to E! News, court records show that the “Umbrella Academy” star filed for a divorce from the professional dancer on January 26.

The former couple also confirmed their split in a joint statement, saying, "After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce following our separation last summer.”

"We have the utmost respect for each other and remain close friends,” they added.

Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, announced that he’d tied the knot with Portner in January 2018.

The American actor, known for her roles in “Juno” and “The Umbrella Academy,” filed for divorce a month after he came out as transgender. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
