BLACKPINK's Rosé is set to premiere her solo debut song at the group's upcoming online concert "THE SHOW" on January 31.
According to a report on Soompi on Monday, YG Entertainment revealed new details about Rosé's most-awaited solo debut.
"Rosé completed all filming for her solo album title track’s music video in mid-January. As the production budget for the video was unprecedented, the music video is a large-scale production, and we are currently doing our utmost in the final stages to ensure a high-quality release," YG Entertainment's statement read.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment said they will make an official announcement on the schedule of Rosé's album release "shortly."
YG Entertainment also said that it was Rosé who requested to perform her new single ahead of the release of the full album, to which the agency agreed.
The agency also described the track as "mellifluous, while also capturing the strengths of [Rosé’s] soulful vocals."
"It is a song that is completely different from BLACKPINK’s music to date," it added.
BLACKPINK's first-ever online concert "THE SHOW" was initially scheduled to happen last December. It was postponed to January 31 due to the reinstatement of stricter social distancing guidelines.
YG Entertainment said, "As the BLACKPINK members have worked hard for the past two months and poured their sweat into putting on a high-quality show together with a live band, we hope that the concert will be a wonderful gift for the fans.” — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
