'Start-Up' second lead Kim Seon Ho, Shin Min Ah in talks to star together in new K-drama in 2021
If you can't get over Kim Seon Ho as Han Ji Pyeong in "Start-Up," here's something to look forward to.
According to Soompi, Seon Ho and "Oh My Venus" star Shin Min Ah are in talks to star together in a K-drama remake of the film "Mr. Hong" in 2021.
Soompi said Min Ah's agency AM Entertainment commented, saying "Shin Min Ah is positively reviewing the new drama ‘Mr. Hong’ (working title).”
The Korean actress was offered the role of Yoon Hye Jin, a smart and beautiful dentist, who loves to shop and may appear materialistic. But she has a warm heart, regularly donating and supporting those in need.
Meanwhile, Seon Ho's agency SALT Entertainment commented on the reports and said the Korean actor is "positively considering the offer to star in the new drama "Mr Hong."
Originally released on 2004, the romantic comedy film "Mr. Hong" follows the story of Hong Doo Shik, a guy who works odd jobs around town to make a living and Yoo Hye Jin, a dentist who opened a clinic in the small town.
Seon Ho is offered the role of Hong Doo Shik or Mr. Hong who is helpful in all situations and accepts minimum wage whatever the job is. He is polite to everyone regardless of age and is tagged as mysterious after rumors about why he was missing for a few years circulated.
Seon Ho grew popular after starring in the recent hit Netflix K-Drama about youth, business, and dreams titled "Start-Up" where he played second lead starring with Nam Joo-hyuk and Bae Suzy.
