BTS kicks off week on ‘Tonight Show’ with explosive ‘Dynamite,’ ‘Idol’ performances

BTS has begun Day 1 of their weeklong performances on the “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on American broadcast network NBC.

The musical group lit things up with their explosive hit “Dynamite” together with host Jimmy Fallon and legendary “Tonight Show” house band The Roots on Tuesday morning (Philippine time).

After Jimmy’s interviews with the show’s guests, BTS launched into a performance of their 2018 banger “Idol.”

Dressed in traditional hanbok attire, the South Korean idol group fired up the stage at Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung, which served as the main royal palace during the Joseon dynasty.

For its BTS Week special, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” will feature a new performance by the septet every night, plus interviews, games, and more.

BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook will also be the show’s guests on its Wednesday episode.

The group’s single “Dynamite” repeaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week.

Released last month, “Dynamite” spent its first two weeks on the chart at No. 1, and its third and fourth at No. 2. – RC, GMA News
