Did Millie Bobby Brown get starstruck over Henry Cavill on their first meeting for 'Enola Holmes'? Here's his answer
Two powerhouse stars Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill portray a brother and sister in the new Netflix film "Enola Holmes."
So how did "Stranger Things" actress react when she first saw the "Superman" star?
In a roundtable virtual press interview with Henry, the actor revealed what happened when the two of them first met for the film.
"I don't think she gushed. I think there was just big hugs and lots of excitement to be working on a movie together," Henry told the press.
"She was obviously complimentary about my previous work and I was complimentary of her previous work and for me it's just incredibly exciting to be working with such—I wouldn't even call her an up and coming star—she's already a mega star," Henry added.
Henry said she believes that MIllie is "only going to get bigger and better and for me it's just incredibly exciting to be working with her and to be a part of her journey."
He said the two of them were able to work their chemistry as brother and sister in the film by having his character with his own unique twist blend with Millie's charm.
"(Director) Harry (Bradbeer) and I really wanted to bring out more of who I am as a person into this character and with that combined with Millie's natural charisma and her incredible acting ability, it just made for really enjoyable, natural and easy to perform scenes," he told GMA News Online.
Henry will be playing the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes, the brother of titular character Enola played by Millie.
The film follows the story of Enola, who wakes up one morning to find that her mother (Helena Bonham Carter) has disappeared. She suddenly finds herself under the care of her brothers Sherlock and Mycroft (Sam Claflin), who send her to school to become a "proper" young lady.
She refuses his brothers' wishes and escapes in disguise to search for her mother in London. On her way to the city, she will be entangled with a young Lord (Louis Partridge) who ran away from home.
Other stars in the film include Adeel Akhtar, Fiona Shaw, Frances de la Tour, Burn Gorman, and Susan Wokoma. —MGP, GMA News
