Miley Cyrus relives iconic ‘Wrecking Ball’ moment while singing ‘Midnight Sky’ at VMAs
Miley Cyrus just performed her newly released single song “Midnight Sky” at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, and fans are going wild.
After dominating the stage with powerful vocals, the American singer got on top of a huge, glittering disco ball that rose high in the air.
Fans on Twitter couldn’t help but compare it to that iconic scene in the music video of her hit song “Wrecking Ball” in 2013.

Miley released “Midnight Sky” in mid-August as the first single of her upcoming album “She Is Miley Cyrus.”
The single came with a self-directed music video decked with candy, sparkles and outfits taking inspiration from strong female icons like Debbie Harry and Joan Jett.
Reports have speculated that “Midnight Sun” was written about Miley's divorce from Liam Hemsworth and her breakup with Kaitlynn Carter. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
