'The King: Eternal Monarch' star Woo Do Hwan to enlist in the military
Korean actor Woo Do Hwan will enlist in the military following his stint in the hit series "The King: Eternal Monarch."
The star made the announcement through a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram account.
According to a report on Soompi, the actor said he is enlisting as an active duty soldier on July 6.
"I feel apologetic for not being able to directly meet you and say goodbye," Woo told his fans. "Thank you for watching over my 20s and loving me. Thanks to that, I was able to spend my 20s very happily."

His agency, Keyeast, also released a statement regarding his enlistment.
"Due to safety and health reasons, the location and time of his enlistment will not be revealed. He will enlist privately without any official event involving fans nor a press conference," the statement read. "We ask you to support him so that he can safely fulfill his military duty."
South Korean men aged 18 to 28 are required to render military service for around two years.

Soompi previously reported that Woo Do Hwan was offered a lead role in another drama titled "Hero."
The actor played the dual roles of Jo Yeong and Jo Eun-sop in "The King: Eternal Monarch." —MGP, GMA News
