How Chris Hemsworth pulled off an intense 12-minute ‘oner’ in his new action film ‘Extraction’

Chris Hemsworth has a new action-packed thriller coming to Netflix called “Extraction,” and it has an intense action sequence that’s 12 minute long.

The “Avengers” actor and his director-slash-stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave shot a “oner,” which is a series of long shots put together seamlessly to form a single continuous sequence.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look while you wait for the movie to premiere on Netflix this April 24:

In the sneak-peek, Hemsworth sums up what’s going to happen: “It begins in a car chase, and ends up on the street. There’s knife fights, gunfights, it’s good fun!”

We also see Hargrave, who was a stunt coordinator on “Avengers: Endgame” attempting to bring audience right into the action by strapping himself onto vehicles for the chase sequences.

“This has been the most intense amount of action I have ever done,” Hemsworth says.

“Due to it being a oner, we couldn’t shoot it with stunt actors. We’re achieving something that no one else has done before,” he adds.

“Extraction” follows Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary who goes on a deadly mission to save an imprisoned crime lord’s kidnapped son.
