Korean actor Kim Woo Bin donates talent fee from docu gig to children with cancer — report
South Korean actor Kim Woo Bin just made a generous donation to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in light of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Citing a statement from his agency AM Entertainment, news site Allkpop said Woo Bin made the decision “after hearing that children with cancer, whose immune system has weakened due to chemotherapy, are having trouble getting masks with coronavirus.”
The actor reportedly donated his full talent fee from narrating “Humanimal,” a documentary about the life and death of co-existing human beings and animals around the world.
The report also quoted the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation in saying they intend to use his donation to purchase face masks and send them to families of children with pediatric cancer.
South Korea is among countries heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 8,000 cases this week.
Kim Woo Bin has starred in several Korean dramas such as “The Heirs” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity.”
