Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy advances to America's Got Talent finals

Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy advanced to "America's Got Talent: The Champions."

Marcelito has done it again, wowing the audience and the judges on the semifinals of the talent show on Tuesday by belting out Andrea Bocelli's song "Time to Say Goodbye" singing his famous dual voice, aka both the male and female parts.

The Filipino performer earned another standing ovation from AGT judges Howie Mandel, Alesha Dixon, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell.

Howie said he believes Marcelito has "the best shot of winning this whole thing" and that he has raised his game for the semifinals.

"The woman in you was just as good as she was the last time. But you as a man, you went up a notch. She tried to stay up with you but she couldn’t,” Howie said.

Meanwhile, Alesha said Pomoy made an "absolutely brilliant song choice, it really enabled you to shine."

Heidi, on the other hand, said she has been waiting for Pomoy to take over the stage.

However, Simon said Marcelito has to "take a bigger risk because the surprise is now over."

"But I do believe with a gift that you've got, you've got a massive career right in front of you, you're really really good," he added.

Pomoy joined the Philippine franchise of America's Got Talent in 2011 where he won grand champion. He said his motivation to join the talent show was his desire to see his family.

In 2018, Pomoy was featured on The Ellen DeGeneres' show.
