Netflix announces new 'Queen' for 'The Crown' final season

There will be a new actress who will play Queen Elizabeth in the fifth and final season of "The Crown," Netflix announced via its social media account.

Imelda Staunton, an English stage and screen actress, will take over the role.

Staunton is known to young fans as the much hated professor of the Dark Arts at Hogwart's who is very fond of pink items,  Dolores Umbridge.

Recently, she was seen in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as one of the fairies (also in pink) Knotgrass.

In a statement, Staunton welcomed the new role.

"I have loved watching The Crown from the very start," she said.

"As an actor it was a joy to see how both Claire Foy and Olivia Colman brought something special and unique to Peter Morgan's scripts. I am genuinely honoured to be joining such an exceptional creative team and to be taking The Crown to its conclusion." — BAP, GMA News
