America's Got Talent judges give Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy a standing ovation
Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy slayed the international stage after leaving "America's Got Talent" judges in awe of his performance.
Pomoy sang "The Prayer" using dual voices singing both the male and female parts.
Right after his jaw-dropping performance, the audience and judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Alesha Dixon gave him a standing ovation.
"That was so unique, you are a beautiful wonderful singer with a young woman trapped inside of you," Howie told Pomoy.
Meanwhile, Heidi said it was "one of the craziest things I've heard in my entire life."
Simon, on the other hand, said it was what he calls a ten, convincing Howie to give him the Golden Buzzer so he can advance to the finals.
Howie politely declined saying it was still early in the competition and he wanted to save it for the meantime.
Pomoy joined the Philippine franchise of America's Got Talent in 2011 where he won grand champion. He said his motivation to join the talent show was his desire to see his family.
In 2018, Pomoy was featured on The Ellen DeGeneres' show. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
