Adele and husband Simon Konecki announce split

Grammy winner Adele and her husband, entrepreneur Simon Konecki, have decided to separate after being together for eight years.

The British singer's representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh confirmed the split on Friday in a statement sent to The Associated Press.

The statement said, "Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly."

"As always, they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment," it added.

Adele and Konecki started dating back in 2011 and confirmed their marriage back in 2017 during the Grammy Awards.
