Captain Marvel serves popcorn and drinks in a New Jersey theater on opening weekend

Marvel Studios is serious about their promotions.

On opening weekend of "Captain Marvel," none other than Brie Larson — Captain Marvel herself! — swung by a cinema to serve popcorn and drinks to a few lucky fans.

She was dressed in her Captain Marvel sweatsuit.

The whole spectacle was documented on Marvel’s Instagram account and Stories, of course.

“I just heard I was on the cups and popcorn and I just wanted to see for myself,” Brie said after her concessionaire counter stint, thanking the crowd for coming on opening weekend.

According to Northjersey.com, the surprise appearance happened at AMC Theatres Clifton Commons 16 on Saturday. 

Captain Marvel is the first Marvel Studios/Disney film with a female lead. It took in an estimated total of $455 million — $153 million plus $302 million internationally — in its opening three-day weekend, making it the sixth highest global debut ever, according to Variety magazine. — LA, GMA News
