'Roma' wins best foreign language film Oscar
Alfonso Cuaron's "Roma," a black-and-white cinematic ode to his childhood in 1970's Mexico City, won the Oscar for best foreign language film Sunday.
The movie, which was the heavy favorite in the category, bested "Capernaum" (Lebanon), "Cold War" (Poland), "Never Look Away" (Germany) and "Shoplifters" (Japan).
Meanwhile, Regina King, who was a first-time nominee, took home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for her performance in "If Beale Street Could Talk."
Rock band Queen kicked off the 91st Academy Awards with a performance of "We Will Rock You." They had Adam Lambert as front man. — Agence France-Presse
