Fil-Am ‘Glee’ star Darren Criss, ikinuwento sa ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ ang paborito niyang Pinoy resto sa Amerika

Sa kaniyang panayam sa "Jimmy Kimmel Live," ikinuwento ni Filipino-American actor at "Glee" star na si Darren Criss na may kinahihiligan daw siyang restaurant sa Los Angeles na may tatak Pinoy.

"I'm a half-Filipino kid. My mom is a Filipino, she is from Cebu and my dad is just a good old-fashioned Anglo-Mutt white guy," pagpapakilala ni Darren sa TV host na si Jimmy Kimmel.

At dahil isang Filipina ang kaniyang nanay, sinabi ni Darren na lumaki rin siyang kumakain ng mga Filipino food.

"There is this restaurant that I love in LA, shout out to LA Rose Cafe. I go there all the time! It's great, it's very, very Filipino."

Idinetalye pa ni Darren ang isang nakatutuwang kwento nang makilala niya ang may-ari ng restaurant, na nalulungkot kapag hindi nauubos ng mga customer nito ang pagkain.

"In that, the guy who runs the place will give you a hard time, if you don't finish your food. Like a real Filipino uncle, he does not yell at you, he just kind of gives you a grief for it."

Hindi raw namukhaan agad ng may-ari ng restaurant na kausap nito si Darren mismo, na may balbas noong panahong iyon.

"He continued to give me more grief because... I have to shave my beard this morning because we're still shooting our show, but I had a beard and he was saying 'You know you remind me of a guy who comes in here a lot. Do you know this actor Darren Chriss? He has a movie coming out,'" alala ni Darren na tanong sa kaniya ng may-ari.

"And I am like 'Oh yeah, tell me about this guy,'" tugon niya raw.

Sabi raw ng may-ari, "'He comes and people try to take pictures with him, he's okay.'"

Dito na umamin si Darren na siya nga ang aktor, pero hindi agad naniwala ang owner.

"On the way out, I tried to, 'cause I don't want to be untruthful with the guy 'cause I'm a fan of his work, I'm just like, 'I am Darren and I really enjoy your restaurant.'"

"And he goes, 'No you're not Darren, you know, he's big!". Ikinatuwa naman ito ng audience.

"At least it wasn't the other way around, Darren Chriss was thin and I was the fat guy that looked at him," pabirong sabi ng Glee actor.

Gaganap si Darren bilang serial killer at sociopath na si Andrew Cunanan, isang Filipino-American, noong 1997 sa ikatlong American Crime Story anthology series.
