Chris Martin finally confirms Coldplay PHL concert; ticket prices announced

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin finally confirmed their Philippine concert in 2017.

A video uploaded on concert promoter Music Management International's Facebook page showed Martin inviting the band's Filipino fans to watch their one-night-only concert on April 4, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.

Prior to this, Coldplay on Monday released a teaser video showing the numbers "2017" followed by maps of various countries, including the Philippines.

The concert will be a part of the Asian leg of the band's "A Head Full of Dreams" tour.

Formed in 1996, the band is known worldwide for its hits including "Yellow", "Fix You", "Viva La Vida", and "The Scientist".

Ticket prices

Meanwhile, concert promoter Music Management International on Tuesday announced the ticket sale dates and prices on its Facebook page.

Globe users will have a headstart in availing tickets on November 20 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Citi credit card users, meanwhile, can start ordering tickets on November 22 from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Ticket sale for the general public will begin on November 24 at 10 a.m.

Ticket prices are as follows:

• VIP - P22,500
• Platinum - P17,500
• Gold - P12,500
• Silver - P7,500
• Bronze - P3,500
• Gen Ad - P1,800
