Ewan McGregor in talks to play Lumiere in Disney’s live-action ‘Beauty and the Beast’
Another famous name has been tagged to the much-awaited live-action remake of the Disney classic "Beauty and the Beast."
Actor Ewan McGregor is reportedly in final negotiations to play the Beast's butler-turned-candelabra Lumière, The Hollywood said.
Lumière is the one who sang the old-time favorite Beauty and the Beast song "Be Our Guest."
If Disney confirms this, McGregor will join an all-star cast led by Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, and Audra McDonald as Garderobe.
It will also be the first time that McGregor returns to singing onscreen since appearing as the lovestruck writer Christian in the movie "Moulin Rouge!" opposite Nicole Kidman in 2001.
