'One Direction' sings greatest hit on Sesame Street

 

 

Although it'll be quite a while before they get to see their idols in concert, One Direction fans can content themselves for now by watching Sesame Street.

 

Liam Payne and Harry Styles joined Sesame Street's Bert in singing the show's all-time biggest hit—what else?—the Alphabet Song, which was posted on YouTube this week.

 

But at least for this song, it was Bert who provided the finishing kick:

 

During the a capella rendition, Bert even chided them, "I thought you almost forgot the lyrics."

 

Older fans, though, could get a bonus of sorts at the 0:46 mark.

 

A separate report on tech site Mashable said the two band members were "a little rusty with their letters, but Bert swooped in with a big finish."

 

"Harry Styles and Liam Payne may be pop superstars, but they're not afraid to share the spotlight with a talented Muppet," it added.

 

One Direction is due to hold a concert in Manila in March 2015, but Filipino fans last May flocked to a mall in southern Metro Manila to buy tickets for the event. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
