Mayor Herbert discourages son Harvey from entering showbiz and politics

Hindi raw iniengganyo ni Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista ang sinuman sa kanyang mga anak na pasukin ang mundo ng showbiz o maging ang pulitika.

Sa panayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), partikular na tinukoy niya ang anak na si Harvey Bautista, isa sa dalawang anak ni Mayor Herbert sa kanyang dating partner na si Tates Gana.

Sabi ng mayor ng Quezon City, “A, yeah, I discouraged him.

“Pero wala, e, nasa dugo. Tatay ko, nanay ko, mga kapatid ko.

“Tapos heto, sila na.

“Yung directing, I never thought that all my children want to direct.

“All of them, they want to direct.”

Mas malakas nga raw sa kanyang mga anak ang impluwensiya ng showbiz kaysa sa politics.

Sabi ng 48-year-old actor-politician, “Sa palagay ko naman.

“Ako naman, I [also] discouraged them to go into politics.

“Okay to serve, pero not to be politicians.

“That would be their decisions in the future.”

Pero kung gusto ng mga anak niyang pumasok sa pulitika, wala rin siyang magagagawa.

Saad ni Mayor Herbert, “But I'll tell them kung ano yung ano... yung haharapin nila diyan.
