Paolo Ballesteros supports daughter's plan of entering showbiz

Paolo Ballesteros's daughter Keira Claire  is following in her daddy’s footsteps.

The actor-host revealed to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that she actually has a contract with a modeling agency in the U.S.

"Nagpirma siya ng modeling agency sa Chicago, so sabi ko naman, go!

"Kung gusto naman niya, I won’t force her to do something she doesn’t want," Paolo said at the bloggers’ conference of his movie, Die Beautiful, held last December 21.

Keira, who turned 8 last November 29, is currently living and studying in Chicago, Illinois, with her mom, Maria Katrina Nevada, Paolo’s former girlfriend.

Early on, Paolo already saw his daughter’s interest in showbiz.

"Gusto niya mag-artista. Maarte din, e.

"Nahuhuli ko sa bahay kinakausap ang sarili sa salamin, uma-acting-acting.

"Magka-birthday pa kami so yung artistic side ko, nakukuha niya," Paolo related.

He has been approached many times by people who want to get Keira for a project.

"Dito maraming kumukuha, kaya lang nasa Chicago nga, nag-aaral."

But the actor assured that he won’t deprive his daughter of these opportunities when she returns.

"Sa susunod na lang, pag-uwi na lang."

While other celebrities prefer that their children prioritize studies over showbiz or not to try showbiz at all, Paolo is supportive of his daughter’s plan of joining showbiz.

"Go, kung ano ang gusto niya.

"Kasi ako, if I were given a chance nung bata ako, bagets pa lang ako gusto ko nang mag-artista. So I guess ganun din ang nararamdaman niya.

"Bata pa lang ako, memorized ko na ang address ng Eat Bulaga! kasi gusto kong sumali ng Mr. Pogi, kaya lang walang chance.

"With her, if there is a chance at gusto naman niya, and di naman mako-compromise ang school, studies, go for it," he explained.-- For more of showbiz news, visit PEP.ph
