Saab Magalona answers basher who called her 'baog'

Dinepensahan ni Saab Magalona ang sarili mula sa isang netizen na tinawag siyang 'baog' dahil wala pa siyang anak, isa at kalahating taon matapos niyang ikasal sa musikerong si Jeremiah “Jim” Bacarro.

Ikinasal sina Saab at Jim noong January 24, 2015 sa Baguio City.

Sa isang entry sa kanyang blog na spellsaab.juice.ph, ipinaliwanag ng anak ng yumaong rapper na si Francis Magalona kung bakit wala pa silang anak ng kanyang asawa.

Ang nasabing entry ay may pamagat na “Not Everybody Gets Married To Have Children” at nailathala noong May 31.

Sa nasabing entry, sinabi ni Saab na, ayon sa pag-aaral ng US Census Bureau and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, naghihintay muna ng tinatayang tatlong taon ang mag-asawa bago magdesisyong magkaanak.

“So maybe it’s not such an absurd thing to wait,” hirit niya.

Ayon pa kay Saab, 27, ang pag-aanak ay hindi para magkaroon ng 'cutesy baby photos and sweet, sweet kisses from my little siopao-cheeked child.”

Sabi rin niya, “It’s 18 years of my life that I will have to dedicate to a human being.”

Binanggit din ni Saab na may mga nag-isip na kaya siya nagpakasal noon ay dahil pinaghinalaan siyang buntis.

“It’s been over a year and that poor burger-pizza hybrid in my stomach that people mistook for a baby is now gone. I obviously wasn’t pregnant, I was just a little chubs.

“And right now, Jim and I are still not trying to have children.

“It’s a choice we both made and I respect other couples for choosing to have kids right after marriage, too.”

Pakiusap pa niya: “I just need people to stop being so jaded thinking it’s the only reason people get married—so they can have children.
